DETAILS

Care Instructions
Arrowhead Plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. It prefers moderate temperatures and high humidity. Water the plant regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
Soil
Syngonium podophyllum prefers well-draining, loamy soil. A mix of peat, perlite, and potting soil works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
Fertilizer
Fertilize the Arrowhead Plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer, such as 20-20-20, every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding during the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.
Repotting
Repot the plant every 1-2 years or when it becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one. Gently remove the plant from its pot, loosen the roots, and place it in the new pot with fresh soil.
Propagation
Propagate Syngonium podophyllum through stem cuttings. Take a cutting with at least one node and place it in water or moist soil. Keep the cutting in a warm, humid environment until roots develop, then transplant it to a pot.
Pruning
Prune the Arrowhead Plant to maintain its shape and encourage bushier growth. Trim back any leggy or overgrown stems using clean, sharp scissors. Pruning can be done throughout the year as needed.
Toxicity
Syngonium podophyllum is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation and swelling in the mouth and throat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
