DETAILS

Care Instructions
Green Dragon prefers moderate temperatures and indirect bright light. It thrives in environments with high humidity and should be kept evenly moist. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. During its dormancy period, reduce watering significantly.
Soil
Arisaema dracontium prefers well-draining loamy soil that retains moisture but does not become waterlogged. A mix of garden soil with organic matter such as compost works well. Ensure the soil is slightly acidic to neutral.
Fertilizer
Use a balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10 during the growing season. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks to provide the necessary nutrients for healthy growth.
Repotting
Repot the plant every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its container. Repot during the early spring before the growing season begins. Use fresh, well-draining soil and a slightly larger pot to accommodate growth.
Propagation
Propagate Arisaema dracontium by dividing the tubers during the dormancy period. Carefully separate the tubers and plant them in individual pots with fresh soil. Ensure they are kept moist and in a shaded area until new growth appears.
Pruning
Pruning is generally not required for Green Dragon. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves to maintain the plant's appearance and health.
Toxicity
Arisaema dracontium is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. All parts of the plant contain calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation and swelling in the mouth and throat. Handle with care and keep out of reach of children and pets.
