DETALLES

Instrucciones de cuidado
Scadoxus multiflorus thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers moderate temperatures. It requires a humid environment and should be watered regularly, allowing the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Avoid exposing the plant to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
Suelo
The plant prefers well-draining loamy soil that retains some moisture but does not become waterlogged. A mix of garden soil, compost, and sand can provide the ideal growing medium. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot.
Fertilizante
Use a balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10 during the growing season. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks to support healthy growth and flowering. Reduce or stop fertilizing during the dormancy period.
Trasplante
Repot Scadoxus multiflorus every 2-3 years or when the bulb outgrows its container. Repot during the dormant period, carefully transferring the bulb to a slightly larger pot with fresh soil. Ensure the bulb is planted at the correct depth.
Propagación
Propagate by dividing the offsets from the main bulb during the dormant period. Gently separate the offsets and plant them in individual pots with well-draining soil. Keep the soil slightly moist until new growth appears.
Poda
Pruning is generally not required for Scadoxus multiflorus. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves to maintain the plant's appearance and health. Cut back the flower stalks after blooming to encourage new growth.
Toxicidad
Scadoxus multiflorus is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. All parts of the plant contain toxic compounds that can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Handle the plant with care and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
