DÉTAILS

Instructions d'entretien
The Atlas Cedar prefers full sunlight and should be planted in a location where it can receive direct bright light for several hours a day. It thrives in temperate climates with moderate temperatures and average humidity levels. Water the tree when the soil is almost completely dry, but avoid waterlogging.
Sol
Cedrus atlantica prefers well-draining loamy soil. The soil should be slightly acidic to neutral in pH. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot, as the tree does not tolerate waterlogged conditions.
Engrais
Use a balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10. Fertilize the tree in the early spring and again in the late summer to support its growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can harm the tree.
Rempotage
Repot young Atlas Cedars every 2-3 years to provide fresh soil and more space for root growth. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and ensure it has good drainage. Repotting is best done in the early spring before new growth begins.
Propagation
Propagate Cedrus atlantica through seeds or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in the fall, while cuttings can be taken in late summer. Use a rooting hormone to increase the chances of successful propagation.
Taille
Prune the Atlas Cedar in late winter or early spring before new growth starts. Remove any dead, diseased, or damaged branches. Light pruning can help maintain the tree's shape and encourage healthy growth.
Toxicité
Cedrus atlantica is not known to be toxic to pets or humans. However, as with all plants, it is best to keep pets and children from ingesting any part of the tree.
Supplémentaire
The Atlas Cedar is a majestic tree that can serve as a focal point in large gardens and landscapes. It is also valued for its aromatic wood, which is resistant to decay and used in woodworking.
