DÉTAILS

Instructions d'entretien
Lawson's cypress prefers temperate climates and should be planted in an area where it can receive direct bright light for several hours a day. It thrives in moderate temperatures and requires a moderate level of humidity. Regular watering is necessary, but the soil should be allowed to dry out partially between waterings. Pruning is recommended to maintain its shape and health.
Sol
This tree prefers well-draining loamy soil that is slightly acidic to neutral in pH. It can tolerate a range of soil types but performs best in fertile, moist, and well-drained soils. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
Engrais
A balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10 can be applied during the growing season to support healthy growth. Fertilize once in early spring and again in mid-summer for best results.
Rempotage
For young trees grown in containers, repotting should be done every 2-3 years to accommodate growth. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and ensure it has good drainage. Repot in early spring before the growing season begins.
Propagation
Lawson's cypress can be propagated through seeds or cuttings. Seed propagation should be done in the fall, while cuttings can be taken in late summer. Use semi-hardwood cuttings and root them in a well-draining soil mix.
Taille
Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove any dead, diseased, or damaged branches, and trim to maintain the desired shape. Avoid heavy pruning as it can stress the tree.
Toxicité
Lawson's cypress is not known to be toxic to pets or humans. However, as with all plants, it is advisable to prevent pets and children from ingesting any part of the plant.
Supplémentaire
Lawson's cypress is susceptible to root rot if the soil is not well-drained. Ensure proper watering practices and avoid waterlogging the soil. Mulching around the base can help retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.
