Instructions d'entretien
Monstera minima prefers bright, indirect light and should be kept in moderate temperatures with high humidity. Water the plant regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors, provided it is protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Sol
Monstera minima thrives in well-draining, loamy soil. A mix of potting soil, peat, and perlite is ideal. Ensure the soil remains moist but not soggy to prevent root rot. Good drainage is essential for the health of the plant.
Engrais
Feed Monstera minima with a balanced liquid fertilizer (20-20-20) every month during the growing season. Reduce feeding during the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.
Rempotage
Repot Monstera minima every 1-2 years or when it outgrows its current pot. Choose a pot that is one size larger and ensure it has good drainage. Gently remove the plant from its old pot, loosen the roots, and place it in the new pot with fresh soil.
Propagation
Monstera minima can be propagated through stem cuttings. Take a cutting with at least one node and place it in water or directly into moist soil. Keep the cutting in a warm, humid environment until roots develop.
Taille
Prune Monstera minima to control its size and shape. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves and trim back overgrown stems. Pruning can be done throughout the year but is best done during the growing season.
Toxicité
Monstera minima is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause irritation and swelling in the mouth and throat. Keep the plant out of reach of children and pets.
