DETAILS

Care Instructions
Aeonium arboreum requires bright, direct sunlight for optimal growth. It prefers moderate temperatures and can tolerate low humidity levels. Water the plant sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot.
Soil
This plant prefers well-draining soil, such as a loam-based mix. Ensure the soil has good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can be detrimental to the plant's health. A cactus or succulent potting mix is ideal.
Fertilizer
Fertilize Aeonium arboreum with a balanced fertilizer, such as a 2-4-4 N-P-K formula, during the growing season. Apply the fertilizer sparingly, as succulents do not require heavy feeding. Once a month during the growing season is sufficient.
Repotting
Repot Aeonium arboreum every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its current pot. Choose a slightly larger pot with good drainage. Gently remove the plant from its old pot, shake off excess soil, and place it in the new pot with fresh soil mix.
Propagation
Propagate Aeonium arboreum through stem cuttings. Take cuttings during the growing season, allow them to callous over for a few days, and then plant them in well-draining soil. Keep the soil lightly moist until roots develop.
Pruning
Prune Aeonium arboreum to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged leaves. Pruning can be done during the growing season. Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears to make clean cuts.
Toxicity
Aeonium arboreum is not toxic to pets or humans. However, it is always advisable to keep plants out of reach of pets and children to prevent any accidental ingestion.
Additional
Aeonium arboreum can benefit from occasional misting to increase humidity, especially in dry indoor environments. Ensure the plant receives adequate airflow to prevent fungal issues. Rotate the plant periodically to ensure even growth.
