Care Instructions
Calendula arvensis is relatively easy to care for. It prefers direct bright light and moderate temperatures. Water the plant when the soil is almost completely dry. It can tolerate a range of humidity levels but prefers moderate humidity.Soil
Calendula arvensis prefers well-draining loam soil. Ensure the soil dries out almost completely between waterings to prevent root rot. A soil mix that includes sand or perlite can improve drainage.Fertilizer
Use a balanced fertilizer with a nutrient composition of 5-10-10. Fertilize the plant every 4-6 weeks during the growing season to promote healthy growth and flowering.Repotting
Repot Calendula arvensis annually or when the plant outgrows its container. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and ensure it has good drainage. Gently remove the plant from its old pot, shake off excess soil, and place it in the new pot with fresh soil.Propagation
Calendula arvensis can be propagated by seeds. Sow the seeds in early spring directly in the garden or in pots. Keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate, which usually takes about 1-2 weeks.Pruning
Pruning is not typically required for Calendula arvensis. However, deadheading spent flowers can encourage more blooms and keep the plant looking tidy.Toxicity
Calendula arvensis is not toxic to pets or humans. It is generally considered safe and is sometimes used in herbal remedies and skincare products.Additional
Calendula arvensis is known for its medicinal properties and is often used in herbal medicine to treat skin conditions and minor wounds. The flowers can also be used to make a natural dye.REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR PLANT CARE
