Eupatorium altissimum prefers loamy soil that is well-drained. It can tolerate a range of soil types but performs best in moderately fertile soil. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.肥料
Use a balanced fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 10-10-10. Fertilize in early spring and again in mid-summer to support growth and flowering. Avoid over-fertilizing as it can lead to weak stems.换盆
Repotting is generally not necessary for this outdoor plant. However, if grown in containers, repot every 2-3 years to refresh the soil and provide more space for root growth. Repot in early spring before new growth begins.传播
Propagate by division in early spring or by seed. For division, dig up the plant and separate the root clumps, then replant them. Seeds can be sown directly in the garden in late fall or early spring.修剪
Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or damaged stems and to shape the plant. Regular pruning encourages bushier growth and more abundant flowering. Deadhead spent flowers to promote continuous blooming.毒性
